A pair of Lladró Boy Blowing (Kisses) and Girl Kissing figurines from 1974. This pair of porcelain figurines are in the form of a boy and girl dressed in nightshirts with blue collars. The figurines were designed by Lladró artist Fulgencio García and were retired in 1992. The base is marked to the underside “Lladró Hand Made in Spain.”

The Lladro company was founded by three brothers in 1953. They first began production in a small workshop in a village near Valencia, Spain. Inspired by the Mannerist style, their hard paste figurines became quite popular.

A unique Lladro look arose, characterized by exquisite elongated forms, and an unmistakable glaze, the ingredients of which are a company secret.

Lladro figurines of today maintain the same exquisite quality, and they are enthusiastically collected around the world.
