Item Description
Drift Fish | Created out of found objects from local Vineyard beaches.
Artists: Rachel Lucier
Artist Rachel Lucier was born in Vail Colorado and moved to Martha's Vineyard before her first birthday. After graduating with a degree in Furniture from the Rhode Island School of Design, she moved back to the Vineyard and continued her love for making things. She finds inspiration from this magical island as well as the treasures she collects from its beaches. Her creations are usually made with found objects generally from the sea, but not limited to. From sea glass, to driftwood, to quahog shells, there is no shortage of mediums to be utilized. In addition to jewelry and sculpture, Rachel also does custom signage, as well as specialty carpentry while working as a real estate agent, and a waitress at Dockstreet Coffee Shop.
You can find her jewelry collections on her website Islandmadejewely.com or at Driftwood Jewelry in Oak Bluffs.
