Adventure Vacations, located on Madeline Island in Wisconsin, offers quality guided sea kayak and boat tours in the Apostle Islands. Tour the Apostle Islands by powerboat, kayak the sea caves, view ship wrecks and tour historic light houses. Boat tours leave twice daily, water taxi and custom trips are also available. Guided kayak tours bring you paddling to the Madeline Island cliffs where you can marvel at the massive sandstone boulders and explore underwater tunnels and enchanted sea caves, beginners welcome. Stop by our store to join a tour or make a reservation online. At our newly renovated Beach Shop you will also find everything you need for FUN in the islands! Swimwear, sundresses, flip flops, sunglasses, beach toys, camping supplies, snorkeling equipment, cute t-shirts, locally made gifts and much more! Stand up paddle board rental and lessons. Farmhouse ($50 Gift Card)
The core principle of our food is simple: Source the ingredients from as near as possible, as organic as possible, and always cook from scratch. Living on an island sort of demands using local ingredients. Often, the best way to eat local is to utilize foraged foods. The island is ripe with ingredients (and with sustainable harvesting practices will inspire us for years to come). What we don't grow or forage on Madeline Island, we source from farms and producers in the Chequamegon Bay area.
It has always been our dream to be able to walk out behind the restaurant or down the street and quickly pull a few carrots or a hand full of basil from the ground. Now, we can do just that. With each growing season Farmhouse grows more and more produce on site or at the community garden on Middle Road. An organic carrot from 50 feet and 5 minutes away always tastes better than an organic carrot from California or Mexico.
Many of our menu creations are based on simple scents of home cooking, ethnic flavors that reminds us of the past, and the fresh sensation of foraging in the woods. We aim to make approachable dishes with big and unique flavors. We are the music makers and we are the dreamers of dreams.
Item Special Note
Online and Mobile Bidding: These items will be available for bidding online prior to the event. Online bidding will continue during MKE Rock for Locks. Attendees will also be be able to continue bidding on-site using their mobile device. THERE WILL NOT BE A PAPER BID SHEET FOR THIS ITEM. Bidding on these items will run from Aug 14, 2018 until the close of the silent auction on Sept 8, 2018 at 5:30 pm. Items can be paid for in cash or check at time of sale if preferred.
Pick up at Rock for Locks or within two weeks of events conclusion within Milwaukee area only. Will meet within reasonable distance.
Item can be shipped, USPS shipping charges will apply and will be added to total of final sale.
