The lecture can be done via phone or Skype (or similar).

Brian Hampton is a playwright, producer, actor, and teacher whose plays have been seen both coast-to-coast and worldwide. He has his BA in Theatre from Christopher Newport University and his MFA in Playwriting from Spalding University. He has taught playwriting at 23 schools (elementary, middle, high, college, university, and performing arts camps). Brian was also the founding producer and managing director of The Puzzle New Play Festival in NYC for six years, the president of Small Town Dangerous, Inc. (a film and theatre production company), and is a member of The Dramatist Guild of America, Actors Equity Association, and SAG-AFTRA. His teaching philosophies include: Finding a structure that works for you. Finding the heart of what you want to say. Changing someone’s perspective. Writing irreplaceable characters. Strengthening and practicing self-discipline. Seeking opportunities. Creating/Producing your own work. Creating stories for all-inclusive casts. Using your work to raise money for charities. And being true to yourself.
