Item Description
Showcasing Romanesque Revival and Art Deco architecture, the beautiful Georgian Hotel was established in 1933 during the peak of California's coastal expansion and has enjoyed many lives since then, accommodating movie moguls during the rise of Los Angeles' movie culture, housing a true Speakeasy in the basement restaurant during Prohibition, hosting famous and infamous gangsters and movie stars, and witnessing visits from the elites of the social and political worlds while grand dame Rose Kennedy was in residence in the 1960s.
Today, after a series of multimillion dollar renovations, The Georgian is beautiful and luxurious, while retaining its charm and hospitality as an ever-distinctive Los Angeles landmark, and draws vacationers from around the globe.
Located on Ocean Avenue in Santa Monica, The Georgian overlooks Palisades Park and the Pacific Ocean, and is in easy walking distance of the Santa Monica beach, Santa Monica Pier, and Third Street Promenade.
This gift certificate entitles the winning bidder to a one night stay in one of the Georgian's standard king rooms, with parking included.
