Item Description
"The Game of Life" is how I see the way through this time in our lives. It is an expression of my thinking of the process of discovery, playing the game (treatment) and of course... cure. If you look closely, you'll see some other familiar landmarks along the way. The chair itself is a student seat and table, you know "old school".

About The Artist
My name is Deborah M. Larkey. I am a practicing Ob-Gyn in the Columbia St. Mary's system. I am not a breast cancer survivor. I do however, diagnose, help treat and care for women on their journey along this path. I believe that cancer is part of our life cycle, there are few that it does not touch or affect. I am fortunate in that I am able to sees the science behind this disease but I am also able to see the spiritual, holistic and humane elements that cloak it's targets. Someday, health care will be universal and policies and procedures will be in place to eradicate this disease.
Until then, I will work very hard to fight this disease, this is my goal. Until then, the brave warriors, the brilliant women who everyday incorporate this diagnosis, hit it head on, fight it with strength and humor and determination are my hero's.
