Item Description

My friend, main muse, and co-creator of our chair, Patricia Bowne, had originally found out about the Rare Chair Affair first. She told me about it and asked if I would be interested in painting a chair with her for this event. Our design stems from our love of fantasy literature, so voilà! Here be Dragons! Pat designed and drew our dragons (note the wee one on the chair leg - his name is Newt). She also designed and drew the sun/moon, which became our logo. So fantasy fans, bid well and bid high!

About The Artists

Pat Bowne

I'm a six-year survivor of triple-negative breast cancer, and I got jealous when my Facebook friends were posting about the great chairs they were making. Now I've had the chance to make my own, with a friend no less! It has a dragon because everything should have dragons.  teach Anatomy and Physiology at Alverno College and am a six-year survivor of triple-negative breast cancer. Art is one of my interests, so I got jealous when my Facebook friends posted about the great chairs they were making for WBCC. Now I've had the chance to make my own, with a friend no less! It has a dragon because everything should have dragons... my co-painter Jan and I belong to a fantasy fiction book club and we both love dragons, painting, and supporting a good cause.
