Acrylic

12" x 12" x 1.5"

Water, sky and tree masses are merged into an abstract image based on an island in Maine. The landscape format provides a point of connection for the viewer.

Irma Cerese is fascinated with color relationships and manipulating paint on a surface. Her paintings can be seen simultaneously as landscape and abstract paint surface. Educated at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, her work was featured recently in an extensive solo show at Landing Gallery, Rockland, ME. Her work was used as cover art for the 2016 Dick Blick artists supply catalog.
