Item Description

Glass

9" x 6.5" x 7"

"Creature" is a multiple gather hand blown glass piece featuring a green aventurine interior, orange lip wrap and layered bits added for the legs and tail. This piece was Kevin Grady’s San Francisco glass studio mascot, having appeared on business cards and in advertising media throughout the Bay Area. From a series of twelve, "Creature" is the last remaining one from the artist's collection.

Kevin Grady, an Attleboro native, apprenticed as a glass blower in Alameda, CA for several years, studying under glass artist Jaime Guerrero. As a co-founder of Rogue ArtSpace and founder of Kevin Grady Art Glass Design Studio in San Francisco, he helped establish hand blown glass as a collectible art form in the Bay Area.
