Item Description

Colored pencil

"Window Girl" is a colored pencil drawing created on toned Canson paper. It is based on a photograph taken of the artist in downtown Providence. Mitchel used the photo as a basis to explore light and color, with a beautiful bluish light dominating the piece.

Sarina Mitchel graduated from the RISD with a BFA in 2015. Originally from Jersey, she is currently an artist-in-residence at AS220, an amazing community arts organization in Providence, RI. Over the past year, she's shown her work in Boston, Attleboro, Kansas City, Golden, Pawtucket, and Providence. She has donated artwork to benefit AS220, the CSPH, and the AAM.
