Item Description

Gyotaku ink print on rice paper

17" x 21" x 1.5"

"Bass Print #7" is part of an ongoing fish print series inspired by the ancient Japanese art of Gyotaku. For the artist, the print is not intended to document the catch (as was the origin of the art) but to capture the graphic and stylized sense of the subject.

Michael Perry studied at the Rhode Island School of Photography and completed the graphic design program at the Rhode Island School of Design. He continually explores new mediums and techniques in photography, painting and 3D design and is constantly seeking out new ways to broaden his artistic vision.
