Farella Vineyards Merlot 2014
Outstanding vineyard and winery 4 miles east of Downtown Napa, Coombville District, where the wines remind us of very good Bordeaux. We think you'll agree with the Farella Merlot. Get dried wild blueberries, cedar, thyme, black tea, cassis, black figs, cocoa and a pleasing amaro-like bitter note on the 45 second finish. Bordeaux-like healthy acidity and fine tannins. Great red meat wine. Will just get better with time.
Farella Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc 2017
In the end, Farella Sauvignon Blanc is best compared to the light, fresh, relatively low alcohol white wines commonly found in Northern Italy. The winery has been amazed at the ability of those wines to refresh and not dull the senses due to their low alcohol and high acidity.

The Sauvignon Blanc is a light, refreshing wine that emulates the white wines of Northern Italy. The Merlot, normally blended with a portion of Cabernet Sauvignon, is a supple wine with intriguing berry/cassis fruit and spice character. In 1991 we added Cabernet Sauvignon as a varietal, a very rich, ample and complex wine styled for fans of balanced California Cabernets.
