Mount Vernon, the home of George Washington has extensive, beautiful and historically accurate gardens and grounds as well as beautiful views and vistas. Washington created a landscape following the naturalist style popular in England. His pleasure grounds were planted for the enjoyment of his family and guests. His landscape features include an incredible view of the Potomac River, groves, boxwood hedges, ha-ha walls, kitchen, pleasure and botanic gardens and a fruit garden and nursery. Return to the 18th century and stroll the gardens and grouds with Dean all the while sharing historical facts and fun stories about his 49 years working on the estate.

A graduate of Clemson University, Dean Norton has been a horticulturist at Mount Vernon since 1980. Over the years, Dean has overseen the restoration of all the garden enclosures. This one of a kind tour includes cost of admission and comes with a good time guarantee.
