Item Description

Monoprint

17.25" x 17.25" x 1"

Alice loves the strong blue she sees in a November sky. The sunsets are glorious on these very special days. She is drawn to trees after all their leaves have fallen. Against a beautiful sunset, they reveal a beauty rarely noticed -- looking up through their leafless branches -- patterns and shapes are dramatically revealed.

Alice Nolan Merlone holds BS and MS degrees from S. CT. State U.  She studied printmaking at SCSU, CAW in New Haven CT, and extensively at SMFA Boston. Her recent work has been included in juried exhibitions at the Blanche Ames Mansion, New Haven Paint & Clay Club, and Blink Gallery, Lexington, MA.  She is a member of the Monotype Guild of New England, and Full Tilt Print Studio, Hyde Park, MA.
