Item Description
Stoneware
10.50" x 7" x 7"
This traditional stoneware bottle was thrown on the potter's wheel and decorated with slips. The different colored slips show through the final glaze creating many shades of green and blue. The narrow neck makes it the perfect tall bud vase.
Danika R. Notar-Trinh graduated from Moore College of Art & Design in 1992. She continued her craft by apprenticing, teaching and managing clay studios such as Chester Springs Art Center and the Frederick School of Pottery. Her current position as Kiln Master at The Steel Yard in RI has given her the opportunity to create new images on functional pottery push the depth of the clay's surface beyond decorative pattern.
