Item Description
This poster was folder in forths and distibuted by the US Government Printing Office. It was used by school children to learn preparedness and had places to fill in the location of the nearest shelter closest to home, school and work. It also included a spot to put the contact information for the individual's local civil defense director.
The poster states: "Your governetn works for peace, but until peace is assured we must be prepared." "Know your protection in any emergency."
The poster was created by the Department of Defense, Office of Civil Defense and should be a part of a CD or cold war memorabilia collection.
It measures 20"x13".

Winning bidders may pick up items at the IAEM Silent Auction booth on Oct. 24 between 1:00-2:30 p.m. Items not picked up or items won by bidders not attending the conference will be shipped following the conference. Shipping charges are the responsibility of the winning bidder. The shipping charge will be added after the auction is completed and the destination is determined. Items will be combined into one shipment for winning bidders of multiple items to save on shipping costs.
