Item Description

This is a $50 gift card to Banana Hut in Eureka.  There is no expiration date on this gift card.  Come enjoy a delicious meal, a taste of Hawaii, at this restaurant which has been a longtime supporter of the Breast and GYN Health Project.

From their website:

Fatima Evans first conceived the Banana Hut in 2004. A 14ft. fiberglass concession trailer was purchased and transformed into the first “hut”. Decorated with grass skirts, flowers and monkeys, the trailer made its first appearance at the 2004 Redwood Acres fair, selling banana fritters, ice-cream and drinks. At later events, other items were added, including a line of specialty drinks. The drinks were all fun and non-alcoholic, made with bananas and fruit juices. Chocolate dipped bananas were also added, with Fatima creating her own chocolate dipping sauce. Then she decided that she wanted to open the Banana Hut as a restaurant located next to the Turf Club. It opened in 2006, and her Kalua Pig and Pineapple Rib dishes became instant classics. In January of 2007, her husband Ken Evans, retired from his job as a juvenile probation officer with Humboldt County and joined Fatima full time at the restaurant as “front man” and cashier. The business grew steadily in this remote location. However, in 2009, Ken and Fatima decided to change the direction of the Banana Hut. With another new location in downtown 5th Street in Eureka. The restaurant continues to “morph” with the most exotic cuisine and decor in town.

The Banana Hut Hawaiian BBQ truly represents our vision of a tropical paradise, a “slice” of Hawaii here on the mainland, from the bright sunshine to the rolling clouds. Fatima’s wax flowers can be seen on the walls, and art that we have collected over the years that represent the culture of the natives, can be viewed as well. Robotic butterflies flutter on the thatched roofs that extend over the booths and Punkah fans (inspired by the Long Bar at the Raffles Hotel in Singapore) on the ceiling five the room a distinct look and feel.

Try our exotic Tropical drinks, such as the Blue Hawaii, a 1944 Mai Tai or our VERY popular Lava Flow, which is a pina colada with a strawberry and banana twist. Perhaps you might want to try our cool Banana Milk shakes. This and more are available at The Banana Hut Hawaiian BBQ.

Dinner items include Babyback Ribs with pineapple glaze, Lomi Lomi Salmon, Ahi Poke, Pork Chops, Huli Huli Chicken, Ribeye Steak, Carmelized Tofu, and you can even peel and eat Garlic Shrimp inspired by the North Shore shrimp trucks of Oahu. Chef Fatima and her culinary team prepare all meals to perfection. All guests are greeted with smiles and true Hawaiian gestures. With a full bar, an ever growing selection of brews from around the world and unique Hawaiian wines, one will definitely be pleased. Authentic Hawaiian music plays overhead while patrons dine in the comfort of this fine establishment.
