WILDCAT MOUNTAIN - LOCATED IN PINKHAM NOTCH, NEW HAMPSHIRE IN THE WHITE MOUNTAINS ONLY 16 MILES FROM ITS SISTER RESORT ATTITASH MOUNTAIN
Wildcat is one of the best-known alpine skiing resorts in New England. The area has 47 trails on 225 acres, including the 2.75-mile Polecat Trail — the longest ski trail in New Hampshire. Wildcat is home to one of the oldest ski-racing trails in the United States. The original “Wildcat” trail was cut in 1933 by the Civilian Conservation Corps, and just celebrated its 80th anniversary as a ski trail last year. Wildcat was the first ski area to have a gondola lift in the United States, which opened on January 25, 1958. Wildcat Mountain’s unique proximity to Mt. Washington, 2,000’ base elevation and northwestern exposure subjects the mountain to the greatest amount of snowfall in the area. Featuring wide-open groomed trails, bumps and tree skiing, the trails are rated 25% beginner, 45% intermediate, and 30% expert with a vertical drop of 2,112 feet. Wildcat has been the last ski area in New Hampshire to be operating lift-serviced skiing & riding in the spring for the past seven seasons (2007-present). Average Annual Snowfall is 200 inches.
Item Special Note
