On Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 7:00pm, join us in The Music Hall Loft for an evening with the bestselling author Ann Hood and her husband, food writer Michael Ruhlman, when they visit as part of our Innovation + Leadership series. The duo will discuss her new collection of personal essays and recipes nourishing bodies and souls.

From her Italian-American childhood through raising and feeding a growing family and cooking with her new husband, Ann Hood has long appreciated the power of a good meal. With her signature humor and tenderness, she shares her favorite recipes. She also shares tales of loss and starting from scratch; of family love and feasts with friends; and insight into how the perfect meal is one that tastes like home. Don’t miss hearing from this beloved author, knitter, and caring chef!
Ann Hood is the bestselling author of The Knitting Circle, The Obituary Writer, The Red Thread, Somewhere Off The Coast Of Maine, and, most recently, The Book That Matters Most. Her memoir, Comfort: A Journey Through Grief, in which she shares her personal story of losing her 5-year-old daughter Grace in 2002, was a New York Times Editor’s Choice and named one of the top 10 non-fiction books of 2008 by Entertainment Weekly.
Michael Ruhlman is the author or co-author of more than 25 books—non-fiction, fiction, and memoir—the majority of which are on food and cooking, including the bestselling The Soul of a Chef, The French Laundry Cookbook with Thomas Keller, Charcuterie with Brian Polcyn, Ruhlman’s Twenty, which won both James Beard and IACP awards, and most recently, Grocery: The Buying and Selling of Food in America.
