Item Description
Moose Mountains Regional Greenways is a land trust serving the seven towns of the Moose Mountains region in New Hampshire. Our goal is to conserve lands important to the natural resources and resulting quality of life in our immediate area and surrounding communities.
Moose Mountains Regional Greenways services its seven member communities by conserving land, conducting research, providing technical services and advice to town land use boards, and freely distributing information through workshops and reports. We start by working with community leaders to identify the natural resource features that are most unique to the community – like important drinking water resources, wildlife habit areas, working farms and forests, and recreational areas.
Your MMRG membership supports land conservation, a benefit to future generations that:
- promotes outdoor recreation
- protects watersheds and lakes
- preserves drinking water sources
- preserves cultural features
- preserves land for agriculture and forestry
- protects habitat of animals and plants
- provides scenic enjoyment for all
- promotes overall health and well-being
