Item Description
This book offers a complete program of mindful eating that arose out of the Eat for Life Program, researched by the author and found effective at increasing mindfulness, intuitive eating, body appreciation, and decreasing disordered eating (Bush, Rossy, Mintz, & Schopp, 2014). Named one of the top ten books of 2016 by Mindful.org, this book will guide you in developing a mindfulness practice and applying it to problematic eating behaviors as well as improving your entire life.
Lynn Rossy, Ph.D. is a health psychologist specializing in mindfulness-based interventions. She developed a ten-week, empirically validated Eat for Life class that teaches people to eat mindfully and intuitively, love their bodies, and find deeper meaning in their lives. Her book, The Mindfulness-Based Eating Solution, is based on the concepts in her program. Lynn is a long-time practitioner of mindfulness meditation and yoga.
