Enjoy a meal at Terra, specializing in Chef Mike Davis' art of simple food with creative, local ingredients, a renowned wine list, and the best views of Columbia, SC from just over the Gervais Street bridge with a $100 gift certificate.

We chose the name Terra from the word of Latin origin meaning earth or land. Our goal at Terra is to showcase the beauty and bounty that comes from within. Making a conscious effort to support local farmers and using as many locally grown ingredients as possible, we intend to prepare the freshest and finest ingredients simply so that they speak for themselves. With the addition of a few complementing flavors, we hope to create harmony and beauty with each plate of food.

Chef Mike Davis opened Terra in 2006. The restaurant has earned a Wine Spectator award every year since its inception. In 2011 it earned a Distinguished Restaurants of North America (DiRoNA) distinction, making Terra one of just six restaurants in South Carolina and the only restaurant outside of Charleston to have earned such an award. Chef Mike Davis has been named Best Chef in Columbia by readers of Free Times four years consecutively beginning in 2014.
The restaurant is proud to be involved in our community and has held a variety of fundraisers for organizations such as Slow Food Columbia, Sustainable Midlands and GulfAid.

Terra is known for its sweeping views of the Columbia skyline, which guests enjoy from our dining room or patio. In our bar, the wood oven is especially busy on Wednesdays, for Terra’s popular Pizza & Pinot special. With a menu that changes daily with seasonal offerings, a carefully curated wine list, an attentive wait staff and the most creative cocktail menu, we look forward to seeing you in the restaurant soon.
