Item Description
There are so many fabulous breeds of chickens! These two prints from a German breeders catalogue date between 1897 and 1907. The illustrations are highly detailed, and the colors remain warm and vibrant.
These images were printed using a method called chromolithography. In this process each color was applied in a separate process from key stoned limestone plates, from lightest to darkest colors.
The prints are double matted and framed with a rustic wood frame, fitting for these handsome poultry specimens.
Details: Set of two framed antique prints. Each print measures 6 1/4" by 4 1/4"; framed 13 1/4" x 11 1/4".
