ManMate Dinner parties for 8 is New York City's only gay-owned and operated personal introduction service that brings a party of single, successful gay men together for an evening of fine dining, friendship and more.

ManDate carefully coordinates dinner parties for eight at popular restaurants all over Manhattan. You experience an exciting evening of conversation and cuisine. And you meet seven single men who are hand-chosen to attend based on compatibility, interests and relationship goals.

Item features and restrictions (please read carefully):  

• Though the ManMate one-on-ones and the Dinners for 8 dinner parties are usually 2 separate memberships, Grant Wheaton is combining them for this auction.
• This lot offers 2 guaranteed introductions and one-year in our Candidate Pool, in which Mr. Wheaton will continue to match the winning bidder for a year as potential candidates may come up for him.
• The Dinners for 8 include 2 compatibly seated dinner parties for the winning bidder.
• This includes an initial in-person interview with the winning bidder to learn about him and especially about the men he's looking to meet.
• The regular cost of the memberships is $800 for ManMate and $400 for Dinners for 8.
• ManMate/Dinners for 8 works through New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. The largest concentration of our base is in NYC and the surrounding area.
• A large part of what Mr. Wheaton’s clients are paying for is matching expertise for dating and, hopefully, an eventual relationship, perhaps marriage, etc.
• With the ManMate one-on-ones, the two matched men set up a convenient time and place to meet for dinner, lunch, brunch, etc. wherever is mutually workable.
• The membership is valid for one single man.
• ManMate has several partner restaurants where the dinner parties take place. They are all in Manhattan.
• The night of the dinner party, a ManMate host meets all the men at the partner restaurant.
• ManMate buys them all a round of drinks and introduce them.
• Shortly thereafter, they're seated at a round table. They order directly from the main menu.
• They're each given a separate check, so they pay for what they ordered plus gratuity.
• For both the one-on-one and dinner party memberships, ManMate emails Feedback Forms to let ManMate know how the date or dinner party went.
• With the dinner parties, in the Feedback Form, the winning bidder can also request the contact info of other men he met there that he would like to see again one-on-one.
• ManMate contacts those men on the winning bidder’s behalf, and when the interest is mutual, ManMate provides each of them with one another's contact info.
