Stained Glass Window: Own a Piece of FUSF History

Stained Glass window from Grace Universalist Church in Franklin, circa 1865

Measurements: 16.25" across and 17.25" down

Composition: Restored Stained Glass window top from The Grace Universalist Church in Franklin erected in 1865. The glass is original, some of the lead is original. The window top has been restored with 2 loops to facilitate hanging.

Provenance: Grace Church was built on the Dean Academy campus in 1865. Oliver Dean was a major benefactor. The congregation of 70 designed their new church to seat 700, and in fact 700 guests attended the church's dedication. Grace Church was acclaimed as “one of the most beautiful and perfectly appointed houses of worship to be found in any town in New England” (Blake 1899)
