Item Description
From noted American silhouette artist Wendy Schultz Wubbels comes this set of three Shaker motif hand-cut paper artworks. Wendy is a craftsman who has been cutting paper images with surgical scissors for over 40 years. A native of Lancaster, PA, she began with German motifs, traditional scherenschnitte (German Scissors cuttings), then broadened her style to include the silhouettes popular in the mid 1800’s. Shaker chair silhouettes have been one of her favorites.
This set of three artworks includes:
Shaker Chair Silhouette measuring 12" x 6 1/2" framed
Heart 'n Hand measuring 6" x 4" framed
Shaker Carrier measuring 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" framed
Each piece is signed by the artist, and is beautifully framed with antique patterned paper backing.
