Item Description
Thoughtfully Raised, Rotationally Grazed
We believe that animals should be raised in as natural and as healthy of a setting as possible. This is why we rely on managed rotational grazing for our chickens, ducks and goats. By allotting a grazing paddock for a short duration there is increased utilization of feed and better dispersion of manure. Managed Intensive Grazing allows for long rest periods which both the grass and animals benefit from. By constantly moving across the pasture there is time for the plants and soil to be fertilized and regrow. This whole process increases soil fertility, maximizes the output of green growth and keeps parasites minimized. Because the animals are harvesting their own food they are getting the freshest, most nutrient dense feed they can. This translates to higher beneficial fats, Omega-3's and CLA's in the meat and milk. Ultimately, rotational grazing is better for the the soil, the animals and ourselves.
It is in our best interest to keep our animals healthy by providing the best feed we can, either by grazing or locally milled grain, and by providing fresh air and sunshine and letting them be Goats, Chickens and Ducks.
