Item Description

We are thrilled to partner again with D.H. Gustafson Family Vineyard, which was born in the spring of 2002, when Dan Gustafson, a landscape architect and real estate developer, saw his dream of planting his own vineyard come true with the purchase of those 87 acres in the Dry Creek Valley appellation of Sonoma County.

Now, years later, vineyard plantings are complete at 20 acres; varietals of Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petite Verdot, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, and Rosé of Syrah.

Gustafson Family Vineyard is sustainably farmed with respect for the vines, the land, and the winemaking process. At 1800 feet above sea level, they are the highest elevation estate vineyard and winery in Sonoma County. Their unique high-elevation microclimate sits above the seasonal Dry Creek Valley fog, providing their vines with cool morning sunlight and moisture-free ripening throughout the summer and fall. The additional sunlight hours and warm summer days are tempered by late afternoon Pacific breezes from the Sonoma coast, keeping their average summer temperatures to a comfortable 85 degrees Fahrenheit.

The balance of the Gustafson landscape remains as an ecological preserve, 200+ acres characterized by old growth madrone and manzanita, several of California's native oak species, and isolated strands of redwoods. The preserve is home to many of California's wild and beautiful creatures, including bobcats, rattlesnakes, wild turkeys, red-tailed hawks, and wild boar.

Enjoy a a day enjoying this wonderful vineyard, lunch and tasting the wines, at our Dry Creek Estate during the months of May through October.  bid now!
