Hop on up to Solvang area for a day of wine tasting with friends. Get out of LA, and relax in the peacefulness of Firestone and then head to dinner at The Hitching Post II.
Firestone Winery(Los Olivos)- Tasting for 6 plus public tour
Come sip some wine in Firestone's social and vast tasting room with amazing views. Then, take the tour. The tour is so hands on that you will feel as though you are ready to make your own wine. At the very least, you will feel as though you are a wine connoisseur. Afterward, grab a chardonnay and head out to the secret gazebo to relish in your new wine knowledge. But, don't tell them we told you it's there, on the side, behing the trees. Shhhhhhhh.
Andrew Murray Vineyards(Los Olivos) Tasting and tour for 4
Continue on your day by heading to Andrew Murray Vineyard. A privately-hosted Grape to Glass tour will guide you through the pioneering history of Andrew Murray Vineyards, the Curtis Estate and the production of wine from vine to glass. Tours begin in our newly remodeled tasting room and continue with a walk through our vineyard focusing on our Rhone varietals and a discussion of our unique Terroir. The wine making process is then showcased from the crush pad to the tank room and finishing in the barrel cellar. Tours typically last between 30-45 minutes, depending on the volume of guests and depth of questions. The Grape to Glass tour also includes a progressive tasting of our current wine releases. Reservations are required.

After your day of wine tasting with friends, stop by The Hitching Post II for a fantastic meal. Sit in the relaxing dining room enjoying steak or fish. Or stop by early enough to get a seat at the bar and enjoy a good old burger to soak up the wine. No matter were you sit, don't forget to order the fire roasted artichoke. It is other worldly, and will have you talking for days, weeks or even years. And in case you love the secret spices they put on everything, they sell it. Just ask and it's yours for the taking.
