Item Description
Own a piece of original artwork from painter Cate Wagoner!
This scene is titled "View of Wapping Street: in Paul Sawyier's Footsteps" and depicts the library named in his memory. Sawyier was one of the few painters in Impressionist style in Kentucky at the turn of the 19th to 20th centuries. He lived in his grandmother's house on Broadway across for the L&N Railway Depot. He enjoyed capturing the scenes along the Kentucky River in Frankfort. The library sits close to the river bank.
Wagoner imagines the walks Sawyier would take in search of scene to paint.
Canvas measures: 12" x 16"
Framed piece: 16 1/2" x 20 1/2"
Shipping fees apply. KY 6% sales tax will be applied to the winning bid.
Item Special Note
Special thanks to Cate Wagoner for her continued support of the mission of Bluegrass Hospice Care.
