Grove 45 Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) is a venture that started in 2009 when long-time friends Nena Talcott and Bonnie Storm agreed to go into business together … and one afternoon, Grove 45 EVOO was born.

The groves are located on Bonnie’s ranch in the Chiles Valley District AVA. It’s the perfect environment to grow olives (and grapes!) with its warmer days and chilly nights and an elevation which ranges from 800- 1300 feet.  The trees are all Italian varieties that Bonnie imported bare root from Tuscany in 1994.  Ten years later, she introduced Sicilian varieties in a second grove. They now grow 300 Tuscan variety olive trees, including Frantoio, Leccino, Maurino and Pendolino varieties, and harvest fruit from 200 Sicilian Noccelara de Belice olive trees.

Six guests will enjoy an idyllic afternoon visiting the groves and ranch with Bonnie and Nena, founders and partners of Grove 45 Extra Virgin Olive Oil. They’ll take you through the milling, bottling, labeling and a tasting of their award-winning olive oil.  You’ll also enjoy an al fresco lunch accompanied by local wines and each guest will bring home a 315 ml bottle of the full-bodied oil.

Grove 45 EVOO is organically hand farmed and harvested. Other than harvesting and bottling, all work is done by the founders, including hand labeling their distinctive aluminum and pewter olive oil vessels and selling and delivering their delicious product.

Grove 45 EVOO has an intense green color and robust, fruity, spicy and peppery characteristics.

It is the proud recipient of the California Olive Oil Council Seal of Excellence.

Collection of California Sales Tax: Unless a valid resale permit is presented to seller prior to the sale, purchaser will be required to pay all state and local retail sales taxes applicable on the date of sale. Resale permits will be accepted only for businesses that are reasonably expected to buy and sell wine. Sales tax will be collected on the purchase price of each lot which contains tangible goods.
