Item Description
Tom Eddy Winery, a small, family-owned winery with an extremely limited case production, features twenty-two gorgeous acres of unspoiled Calistoga landscape overlooking Napa and Sonoma County. The ranch is the northern-most parcel in Napa County sitting 1,000 feet above the valley floor. Through the main gate sits Kerry's Vineyard, showcasing an acre of premium Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.
The Tom Eddy vineyards and winery are Napa County’s northernmost winery, in Calistoga on the Napa/Sonoma line. The 900 acres around the property are protected in the Sonoma Land Trust, leaving unobstructed views of Mt. St. Helena and the Palisades for years to come.
The 2001 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon saw an extra year in bottle and barrel (French oak) and as a result had good aging even before it was released. This 100% varietal wine is made from free run juice only, from predominately hillside grown vineyards. Balance is a key component of Tom Eddy’s wines and this one is extremely so. It is a teeth staining, inky dark wine with aromas of freshly picked blackberries and mouth filling flavors of berry fruit, mocha and exotic spices towards the finish. With just the right structure of natural acidity and tannins, this wine will age very well.
Presented to you in magnum format.
