The Roots Run Deep at Ballentine Vineyards --

750 ml Vertical:
2013, 2014, 2015, 2016
Ballentine Vineyards Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

The roots run deep beneath the soils of Napa Valley where Ballentine Vineyards farms their 100+ year old estate vineyards and produce wines that are the truest expressions of the terroir. Ballentine is one of the oldest, small family wineries in Napa Valley, with roots that date back to 1906.

The 80+ acres of prime vine growing land that comprises Ballentine Vineyards provide a true and authentic sense of place. Ballentine prides itself on producing wines that both delight the palate and surprise with each harvest’s difference.  Here’s an opportunity for you to taste those nuances of difference with a vertical of Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, that includes a 750ml from the harvests of 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016.

The Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of the best Cabernets from each vintage.  With careful selection and management in the vineyards, only the highest quality fruit is used in the Reserve.  Fermented in barrels and small tanks, gently hand punched down three times a day, and pressed off early to maintain fresh fruit vibrancy, the wines are aged in 100% new French oak.  The wine is then given ample time for tannins to combine and the palate to gain weight, structure, and complexity.  Blending is carefully done six months prior to bottling to allow the components to integrate. The fruit is from the Pocai and Fig Tree Vineyards.

Now...the only question for you to answer will be --Which one is your favorite?
