Item Description
Hillar Kaplan-New will guide the student through a theme-based project in a fun, no-rules environment during this 3 hour Collage Art Class.
Instruction in the elements of drawing & painting techniques, color theory and collage will be explored. The fundamentals of conceptual creation, technical development, and art history will be discussed. A selection of art materials including acrylic, oil pastel, colored pencil, permanent marker, a canvas surface, adhesive, miscellaneous papers and found materials will be provided.
The student is encouraged to use their own photos, letters, and drawings to add a creative personal aesthetic.
The location and date for this class to be agreed upon by Hillar and the winning student.
Hillar is a Professional Artist, Educator and Consultant based in Mar Vista, CA.
She has taught Art to seniors, adults, and children for over 35 years.
Originally from Bucks County PA, Hillar graduated from The Pennsylvania State University, with a BFA in Painting and a Minor in Art History. She opened her first art gallery in 1987 and has owned a successful art consultancy, Odalisque Fine Art for 35 years.
