Item Description
"Including many essays hitherto unpublished and some account of his family and friends." Alas! Poor Sanborn passed away before his manuscript was published, "but he had read all the proof." (preface) Includes nine illustrations. Dark green-blue cloth with gilt letters on cover and spine; no dust jacket. Gilt top edges. Houghton Mifflin Company, 1917. Hardcover, 542 pp. Out of print. This copy was discarded by a local library, so it has the usual library markings, inside and out. Hinges are loose but all pages are present and are only slightly aging. Back outside cover has three smallish tears in the fabric. Otherwise, in great shape for its age and rarity.
