"Prior to 1776, world history was primarily written about kings and emperors. The American experiment shook the world. Not only did the colonies break away from the biggest and most powerful empire in history, but they also took the musings of the brightest thinkers of the Enlightenment and implemented them. The founding of the United States was simultaneously an armed rebellion against tyranny and a revolution of ideas -- ideas that changed the course of world history."

Review:

"There is no more important time in our present times to learn the how and why of the founding of our great republic. This highly readable book is a very good place to start." Alan Caruba at Bookviews

"It provides an excellent analysis of the American Founding and what made it unique.  However, it also provides considerable insight into the motivations of the current grass-roots movement for a return to constitutionalism." Martin Sielaff,   What Would The Founders Think?

Principled Action
ByDebbie Juba on December 3, 2012
This is a fascinating account of the founding of our government, and the men who worked tirelessly to draw up our constitution. They envisioned a government that would not only be relevant for them, but for all Americans throughout the history of this great country. The message is clear...we fought hard for our freedom. We must be vigilant and never let anyone change what is fundamental about our nation, the fact that we are free because we govern ourselves.
