--One 1.5 L 2014 Meteor Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Special Family Reserve
The Special Family Reserve represents the finest that Meteor Vineyard has to offer. Bottled only in magnum and larger formats, it is a standout wine from a standout vintage, and this single clone shines a spotlight on what is possible from the Meteor vineyard. A singular expression of Cabernet, the Special Family Reserve shows the exotic spice, rich chocolate notes, and dark red fruit that the little patch of land in Coombsville can yield, master-crafted by the ever amazing winemaking team of Dawnine and Bill Dyer.
Wine critic Robert Parker said “The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Special Family Reserve is a dense, rich, complex wine, with notes of high-quality oak interwoven with blackberry, cassis, graphite and camphor. There’s an almost burning ember, Graves-like subtleness that also comes through, which is possibly the minerality that is often found in Coombsville. … it is a special, rich, full-bodied wine clearly built for 20 or more years of cellaring.”

Collection of California Sales Tax: Unless a valid resale permit is presented to seller prior to the sale, purchaser will be required to pay all state and local retail sales taxes applicable on the date of sale. Resale permits will be accepted only for businesses that are reasonably expected to buy and sell wine. Sales tax will be collected on the purchase price of each lot which contains tangible goods.
Shipping or Pick up of Wines: Shipping costs are the sole responsibility of the winner.
Non-Napa County winners must arrange for their wines to be shipped from The Packaging Company, beginning Friday, March 1, 2019. If you're the lucky winner, we'll call or email you with directions for making this happen.
Napa County winners of auction lots containing wine may pick up their wines at the St. Helena office of the UpValley Family Centers beginning Friday, March 1, 2019. If you are the lucky winner, we'll call or email you with directions and details.
