Item Description

This darling carved artwork, “Noah’s Ark,” has an ark approximately 13.5” long with 10 pairs of animals, and Noah and Naamah.  The collection is wood with acrylic.

Similar sized works by Tubby Brown are listed between $300 to $500 online and in galleries.

Rutherford "Tubby" Brown (1929-2003), a self taught Georgia artist, was a carpenter
before turning his energetic attention to making found objects into wonderful folk art
carvings and vividly painted cutout tableaux.  He loved to entertain people and to have fun with his art.

He would carve figures -- free-standing and framed -- about subjects
ranging from biblical stories like Jonah and the whale to pop music.

Tubby Brown's work is included in North Carolina’s Small Museum of Folk Art as well as many private collections.

Don't miss this rare chance to own a wonderful set of artwork!

Item Special Note

"Noah's Ark" is carved wood.  The pieces are sturdy, but full of delicate detail and would be better picked up in person and not shipped.

If you need shipping, we will pack carefully, but the winning bidder will be responsible for an additional $20-40 shipping and packaging material charge, which will be added to the winning bid amount and may be combined for multiple winning bids, based on actual shipping costs.

In lieu of shipping costs, winner can come to the Calabasas area for our pick-up day, listed on the home page.
