Costa Rican native Junior Rodriguez left Costa Rica on his own at 19 and to move to  The United States. It was during his 8 years in New York, that Junior’s love of art became his passion. Exploring the incredibly diverse art museums of New York opened a world of color, texture and possibilities. He began a self-taught journey, experimenting with different mediums and techniques, which would lead to the unique style you can see in his art today.  After 8 years in New York, Junior came back to his homeland with a new set of eyes and the desire to create art that had the power to make people feel what he feels when in the water … ALIVE.

Junior is known for his vibrantly colored surf art. As an avid surfer, elements of surf exist in almost all his paintings, including his Signature Surfboard. Each painting is a representation of life and being alive – with elements of water, earth, emotion and movement. Where each wave ends, another begins … and so goes his paintings

El costarricense Junior Rodríguez salió de Costa Rica con tan solo 19 años para mudarse a los Estados Unidos. Fue durante sus 8 años en Nueva York, que el amor de Junior por el arte se convirtió en su pasión. Explorar los increíblemente diversos museos de arte de Nueva York abrió un mundo de colores, texturas y posibilidades. Comenzó un viaje autodidacta, experimentando con diferentes medios y técnicas, lo que lo llevaría al estilo único que puedes ver en su arte actual. Después de 8 años en Nueva York, Junior regresó a su país natal con nuevos ojos y el deseo de crear un arte que tuviera el poder de hacer que las personas sintieran lo que él siente cuando está en el agua ... ¡VIVO!
Junior es conocido por su arte de surf de colores vibrantes. Como ávido surfista, existen elementos del surf en casi todas sus pinturas, incluida su Signature Surfboard. Cada pintura es una representación de la vida y el estar vivo, con elementos de agua, tierra, emoción y movimiento. Donde cada ola termina, otra comienza ... y así van sus pinturas.
