You are bidding on a one-hour play therapy session with Julie Lyon Rose, CP, HMC in her therapy room in Accord, NY.
Children heal themselves through play. In the therapy setting the therapist holds the space for the child with complete respect and acceptance, acting as witness, participant when invited, and gentle instigator. The therapeutic play room is free of the inevitable pressures and complexities in the rest of a child's life and children respond with deeply focused and symbolic play which almost always gets right to the heart of whatever they need to express, understand and balance on the physical, emotional and mental levels.
Julie Lyon Rose is a consultant in the field of homeopathic medicine which she has studied and practiced for 36 years. She is also a play therapist and a body and expressive arts centered psychotherapist. She has a back ground as a professional modern dancer and has been teaching and instigating various forms of movement, including improvisational dance and t'ai chi, for more than 40 years.
