Item Description
This Beverly Capstick Lutzyn Original, in copper, from 1994, is a stunning representation of the Doberman Pinscher. It has the most beautiful 3D effect. This technique is known as Copper Repousse' or Copper Bas-Relief.
Beverly worked in copper, utilizing the warmth and antiquing quality of the metal to show the markings and structure of each animal. She felt the metal reflected the enduring bond of dogs to man.
Beverly has shown, trained, bred and judged Dobermans. Art has been a common thread throughout her life, weaving her vocation as an Art teacher and her love of dogs together. Her artwork in copper, was shown under the name of Lutzyn Originals, LLC. The business closed in January 2017.
Professionally mounted in a brushed copper effect frame. Frame measures 16 X 1 X 20. The artwork itself is some 12 x 15. The inset, also Repousse, states "Best of Breed M V D P C".
Note 1st picture is out of frame so as to photo without glare/lighting reflections.
There is one area of slight separation of copper/laquer bond shown in the pictures - but it really does not detract from the overall outstanding beauty of this artwork.
