Rational: The gym is used often for school and community events. Our current technology is outdated and time consuming to manually set up. By purchasing a laser projector and electronic screen, school and community activities will be enhanced by a more reliable, high quality tool.

Rational: SJS hosts many events in the gymnasium that require microphones and audio equipment. Recently, an audio technician evaluated our audio system and found that our floor mics were non-functioning. This update to our sound system would benefit our theater productions, Faith Filled Friday, and community meetings throughout the year. 

TVs to replace Promethean Boards
Description:  ViewSonic Viewboard 75” and Viewboard 86”
Price: 75” $3,149.00  86” $5,941.00
Rational: Our current Promethean boards are more than 10 years old and no longer function their intended purpose. The touch technology for the Promethean board does not respond and only used as a projection screen. ViewSonic Viewboards are interactive TVs that will enhance student engagement in the classroom. This would be a major game changer in the delivery of everyday lessons.

Upgrade on infrastructure - many kids complain of internet dropping -cost of improvements?

Price: $595 each
Rational: As technology at our school is being used more, our current  infrastructure is being strained. Connection issues, especially in the Junior High hallway are the main problem. Our current access points are over 6 years old. The purchase of new, updated access points would create more efficient, reliable internet at our school.

3D printer
Description: Dremel 3D45-01 Printer # A008036
Price: $1,999.00
Rational: In the STEM lab students are currently developing 3D models using TinkerCad and Google Sketchup.  At this point the students are limited to only viewing their creations on the screen, but with the purchase of a 3D printer they could really bring their projects to life.  The Dremel 3D printer would seamlessly connect within the lab and enhance projects for years to come.
