Two hours of test preparation or academic support with an expert tutor from Lemon Tree Learning for first time clients. Popular test prep subjects are the ISEE, the SHSAT, and the state test. We travel to families in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens and see clients in office at 30 St. Marks Place, Brooklyn, NY 11217.
We offer bespoke, one-on-one tutoring sessions for test prep, homework assistance, college admissions, and more.
Our philosophy:
Everyone is capable of learning. Period. We developed Lemon Tree Learning after 15 years of working in private education, and seeing first hand that's it's never a question of IF a student can understand the material, but HOW can we find a way to explain it.
There's simply not the space in a classroom for individual support and once a student falls behind, it impacts their confidence and their ability to get back up. More and more new material piles on. It's stressful.
That's where we come in. We help open communication between student's and teachers, boost confidence, and work through education for different learning styles. We do not all learn the same, so why should all student's be expected to thrive in the same environment?
We've brought students grades up from failing to passing with flying colors, helped raise ISEE stanine scores from 4s to 7s and 8s to 9s, and coached teenagers to receive 36's on the ACT.

Only items certificates fitting in a standard sized envelope can be mailed. Winners will be charged mailing costs plus a $1.00 S&H fee. If you need item(s) mailed, you must notify gala@sprucestreetpta.org by Tuesday, April 9, 2019. Items will be mailed after scheduled pick-up dates. We are not responsible for items if you do not pick up during posted pick up times and no mailing is arranged.
