Zymology: The Science of Fermenting. A tutorial on homemade kombucha, yogurt, pickled vegetables, and other fermented deliciousness.....and yes, wine is fermented, so please bring a bottle to share.
One of the only times it's great to be in a pickle! Learn the basics of diy fermenting, including scoby's/kombucha/2nd ferments & flavorings, yogurt/kefir, kim chi, veggies and pickling.
We'll discuss the cost-saving, culture-retaining respects of home fermenting, the wide variety of probiotic strains and how they benefit our gut health.
I'll provide samples of fermented products, some aged cheeses and light snacks. BYOB adult only.
