About the artist:
Debbie Crawford
Born in Memphis, Tennessee, Debbie Crawford currently lives and works in Memphis. Her mother and father cultivated her interest in the arts by providing art supplies, family projects and creative expression at an early age. Debbie showed great interest in creating art of all kinds and excelled in classes in high school and college. Having a wide range of expressive outlets, she fell in love with painting through a watercolor class taught by Fred Rawlinson in 1998. Debbie expanded her levels of art to include acrylic painting and continues to explore mediums and tools such as spray paint, oil pastels, palette knife and ink.
As an artist, her work has been shown in many places. Her most recent venues and publications include The Downtowner Magazine, At Home Memphis and Mid South Magazine, CityFolk Gallery in Lancaster PA, Longriver Gallery and Midtown Framer in Memphis, and the Children’s Museum of Memphis.
Debbie’s passion for animals and the city she lives in shows up in her work. Her paintings are vibrant and expressive and she speaks volumes with her energizing color combinations. She has worked with many non-profits including The House of Mews, The Humane Society of Memphis and Humane Pennsylvania.
