Join us for a rare opportunity to tour the East Asian Painting Conservation Studio (EAPCS) at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Established in 1966, the studio is one of only a few studios in the country devoted to the conservation and mounting of Japanese, Chinese, and Korean paintings. Come learn about traditional materials and tools used in the process of treatment and mounting of scrolls and folding screens. The tour will be led by Jennifer Perry, Mary and James Wallach Family Conservator for Japanese Art. The tour will be limited to a group of 10 and can be scheduled for up to one year from the date of the auction.
