Icy Palmer is a Manchester legend, a Tuscarora tribe Native American who was born and abandoned in a sugar house in Manchester in 1824. She was a mysterious female entrepreneur who sold homemade candles and maple sugar butternuts to the locals. She was said to have been a very gifted fortune teller and told fortunes for wealthy summer patrons of the Equinox Hotel and Robert Todd Lincoln's business colleagues visiting the area.
