Item Description

Hand formed, hand painted, high-fire ceramic stoneware. Each piece is unique and reflects the elements of our world. The designs are influenced by many cultures of Earth who hold deep reverence for life.

This piece is a 5" diameter turtle that reflects The Four Directions. The artist describes The Four Directions: "Also a symbol for the Earth, seen on maps and compasses. I was taught that this simple symbol reflects the Elements, Earth's Law of Balance and our personal quest for balance. For me the East is Fire and Light and our Spirit. West...Substance, the Physical, ground, the stones, our bones, our Body. South...Water, flowing motion, our Heart, Emotions. North, the Air, WindSky, Reasoning, Knowledge and Wisdom, our Mind. When we stand at the Center of the Four-Directions, balanced Spirits, Bodies, Hearts and Minds, knowing the natural elements are within each of us, we can truly stand with Life, making choices for the good of Self, family and all beings in our world."

Item Special Note

Pick up/shipping information: At auction close, item will be available for pick up in Sebastopol, CA on the designated pick up days or it can be mailed at the winning bidder’s expense.

Items are shipped via Priority Mail Flat Rate Shipping with the United States Postal Service. This item will ship in a medium flat rate box (11” x 8 ½” x 5 ½” OR 13 5/8” x 11 7/8” x 3 3/8”). The shipping cost will be $14.35 plus the cost of insurance. Winning bidder is responsible for all fees. All information and details about pick up times and location will be given in the auction closing email.

If more than one item is won, we will combine shipping and make the necessary shipping cost adjustment. If the items do not fit into a Flat Rate box, the best shipping option will be chosen by the auction shipping team.

For planning, note that the pick-up days are  Wednesday, March 27, 2019 from 2:00-6:00pm and Thursday, March 28, 2019 from 12:00 noon-2:00pm at SunRidge School in Sebastopol, California.  All information and details about pick up times and location will be given in the auction closing email.

SunRidge School is not responsible for items lost or damaged during shipping and/or mailing.
