Description:The word “echinop” comes from the Greek word for “hedgehog”, which refers to the shape of these extremely intricate flower heads. Each of these heads contain hundreds of tiny lavender blue florets. The anise swallowtail butterfly is a common pollinator of this perennial beauty.
