Item Description
A 12-page booklet dated December 1917, containing a biographical essay penned by Prescott Keyes. He explains in his "Deprecatory Note" that this is a piece he wrote for his "Commencement Part" when he graduated from Harvard in 1879. He had it reprinted as a Christmas greeting during Thoreau's centennial year. Noticeable soiling along the open edge of all pages. Still, a rare find.
Item Special Note
